According to The Korea Times, Bae Su-Hyun’s book Finger Play has been published globally, in multiple countries such as Taiwan, China, and France. A picture book made for children, Finger Play demonstrates different shapes and graphic images. The book allows children to be creative with their imaginations and has received wide popularity among its audience. Living in Jeju Island has allowed her to incorporate the majestic landscape into her illustrated books, strengthening children’s imaginations. She has been able to use the amazing wildlife surrounding her in her books as well.
She released a sequel, Face Play, and her two books won the bronze award at the Junior Design Awards 2018 in Best Designed/Illustrated Book for Children presented by Junior Magazine. Bae Su-Hyun uses amazing images to make the children learn about the shapes and create their own. The book also inspires children to use their creativity, and learn about racial diversity. The 2017 Bologna Children’s Book Fair has showcased her amazing book and gave her immense praise for her creativity. The book was released in 2017, and her recent book was released in 2018.
