According to Korea Herald, Baek Hee-Na is back with her new book I Am A Dog, after publishing another bestselling book Cloud Bread. The book is illustrated with amazing sculptures she creates out of clay. Each character is made and posed, then she photographs the clay sculptures to create the images for the book. I Am a Dog is about a dog who waits patiently for its owner to come back home. Her amazing creativity makes the book so real and creates sympathy and relatability for her audience.

The book is dedicated to all the dogs she had and grew up with during her childhood, and it is a story about a dog missing his siblings and family. Baek-Hee Na received the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in 2020 for her book, and it has been translated into other languages such as Chinese and Japanese. Her books have been adapted into animations and even musicals.
