#Alive, directed by Lee Chung Hyeon, has been one of the most popular zombie Netflix movies of the year, especially with the pandemic lockdown in place. Following the huge international success of the Korean zombie film Train To Busan, this new grisly horror follows characters Yoo Ah In and Park Shin Hye inside Yoo Ah In’s  home in a Seoul apartment complex. He is a gamer who ignores his grocery errands for the day and suddenly witnesses zombies eating humans alive outside his apartment. Filled with action-packed scenes, an intriguing storyline, and horrifying jumpscares, #Alive follows Yoo Ah In trying to stay alive while struggling to live in the zombie apocalypse.

The film has been ranked #4 on Netflix’s Top 10 in the U.S. list and has been available in other countries as well. The film premiered in South Korean movie theaters on June 24, 2020, and was released on Netflix globally on September 8, 2020. The film has been a huge success because of the amazing cinematography, revolutionary acting, and intense story structure.

The Call is also directed by Lee Chung Hyeon, and has been recently attracting an international fanbase. The film is also a psychological thriller, and the story is about two young women who are in different eras. They become connected through their house phone through supernatural means, and they must change certain events in their life to stay alive. The main characters in the film are played by Park Shin Hye (#Alive) and Jeon Jong Seo (Burning).

The film was internationally released on November 27, 2020, and the South Korean release in theaters was canceled because of Covid-19. Jeon Jong Seo’s breakthrough performance has been attracting fans worldwide. Director Lee Chung Hyeon is only 30 years old and has already been nominated for the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best Short Film for his 2015 debut film Bargain, so who knows what is in store next. He has also sometimes been mistaken for a handsome actor at the premieres of his films.
